Resume

Mila Boyd

UX/UI Designer · AI Researcher · Systems Thinker

Hybrid designer building emotionally engaging digital products that combine storytelling, accessibility, and systems thinking. Ten years of real-world design execution behind every Figma file I open.

I design responsive interface ecosystems, branding systems, and AI-assisted creative workflows. A decade in commercial project design and construction taught me how people make decisions, manage anxiety, and live with the consequences of design choices. That ground truth shows up in every screen I ship.

About Me

The journey behind the work.

My journey is what makes my design perspective different. I began with an engineering-oriented academic foundation, including early aerospace study and later network engineering coursework. That background trained me to think in systems, logic, structure, and precision.

I later moved deeper into digital and visual design, earning my Associate in Applied Science in Digital Design and completing UX/UI-focused coursework and certificate requirements. Through this path, I developed skills in interaction design, visual hierarchy, responsive web design, user-centered thinking, and digital storytelling.

In parallel, I built strong real-world experience in interior design, remodeling, flooring, tile, kitchen and bath solutions, materials, customer strategy, and project coordination. I have worked directly with homeowners, builders, installers, and vendors, which means I understand how design decisions affect budget, usability, trust, and final execution.

Today, I position myself as a hybrid designer: someone who can design homes, guide remodeling decisions, shape user experience, and connect aesthetics with systems, business goals, and real human needs.
